Teresa Hayes and Melissa Richardson have been teaching Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving in Chicago at the college level for more than two decades.  During a walk one day they discovered that as the class content got underway many of their students would often make the same comment: “I really wish I had this class when I was younger. “ And: “I really wish my kids could have this class.” A company was born.

Critical Thinking Partners, LLC aims to provide basic reasoning, problem-solving, and life skills to children and adults alike. We offer after-school programs as well as workplace seminars.

What is Critical Thinking?

There are as many definitions of Critical Thinking as there are textbooks in this growing field. We like to view CT as a heightened state of self-awareness, viewing situations from different perspectives, and taking the time regularly to reflect on who we are, what we do, have done, and want to do, and how we perceive and are being perceived by others. CTP incorporates this philosophy into everything we do, creating an environment of heightened self-awareness that participants will carry forward with them.

How does CTP operate?

Our first step is to meet with a representative from your company or school to determine what your needs and goals are for your employees/students. We will then devise a program that will specifically meet your needs and that will leave room for plenty of flexibility to adapt to changing and growing needs, goals, participants, and environments.
